Simon Henry – Cover Quilter of the Week

 Another week and another amazing quilter, this could get old if it were not so freaking awesome!  This week’s cover quilter is the adorable Simon Henry and I could not be more excited to have him as one of our own!

 Simon is no stranger to the world of fabric. Since the time he was a young boy  he has loved to work with fabric and that love lead him first to the world of couture level garment construction.  He is the author of  some of the most amazing and informative eye-candy of the subject that you would ever want to read.  From my book shelf you can find these books from Simon.

The Little Black Dress  is the definitive guide to not only making the perfect LBD but also to which one would look best on you!   I love this book and it was the first one of Simon’s book that I had purchased ( you can see why I am tickled that he is now one of our own!)

The Party Dress  dress kicks things into high gear and I bought this one when I was thinking about making an amazing formal dress for a holiday event – heck I still have the fabric.. I could still make the dress! The image on the front of this book never fails to make me happy..  so much info in there- crazy!

I do not have this one yet.. but you can bet that moment I know I am having a grand daughter I will be buying it!

But what can he say..  soon enough the siren song of quilting called to Simon  and soon he was obsessed with quilting to the point that he is the  current holder of the machine quilting award at the British national championships –  Can you say OMG- amazing???

Currently Simon is  living in Derby UK where he is also busy with  Simon Henry Hair and Beauty Salon, so obviously a man of many hats, all of them stylish.
