So maybe the second time’s the charm?.. we had so many of you who wanted to do this the first time but were unable due to a laundry list of reasons so we rounded up more fabric, more gold pleather (yes baby..pleather!) and we are ready to do it again… this time with those entering getting to have their entry hang and show during AQS Chattanooga.
We will be having at live vote at SPOOL where the entries will hang the third week of September. It will be a popular vote and the winner will get a coveted and custom embroidered BadAss Quilters Society Hoodie and $100 Spool Gift Certificate.
There are only 69 {snicker} challenge slots and entry opens today and will start shipping Friday June 17th.
Each bundle contains four fat quarters of amazing Moda Grunge fabric in colors selected just for this challenge as well as a piece of gold pebble-textured pleather for your design excitement.
Each of these fabrics must feature prominently in your finished quilted creation, but what that creation is, is up to you! Garments, quilts, bags, wall hangings – it is all up for grabs, but must be quilted in some way! We do strongly suggest that your quilted work not exceed 20×20 in order to hang well in our allotted space. You may add other Grunge fabrics or if you need more of the actual challenge fabric (with the exception of the pleather), it will be listed below the challenge bundle.
Entry fee is included with the bundle. Each bundle will also come with an exclusive pin as well as a rules and instructions recap. For those who were in the first round and already have a Rocky Pack or finished Project you will just need to do a re entry into the new round ( please note we will be checking these against the original contestant list)
Entries must arrive at SPOOL – 1420 McCallie Ave. Chattanooga TN 37411 no later than September 9th to be part of the Sept 14th – 17th showing/contest. The winner will be announced on the 18th. This will be a live event only but we will be showing all entries to you here on BAQS after the votes are in!
Projects will be returned to the owners the week after the event closes.
